About

Melissa Berlin brings diverse experience in climate resilience research and city policy implementation through her coordination of Harvard’s Climate Leaders Program and her work with Boston’s Age-Friendly Initiative. She has also conducted research consulting for FinSat, a climate change and real estate startup, where she developed methodologies for analyzing energy efficiency regulations in European markets.

Melissa holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Harvard Graduate School of Design with a focus on climate resilience, and a Bachelor’s degree in sociology and psychology from the University of Michigan. Her published research on social connectedness among older adults indifferent housing environments appeared in the journal Ageing and Society. Originally from Southeast Michigan, Melissa enjoys exploring the world by bike.
